undergone extensive testing to ensure the best
results with the program. It also has a clip
(instrumental) or headset (vocal) to place the mic
in the optimal position.

10th District Auditions
District/Allstate
auditions are held at Columbia Middle School the
first Saturday in December. Audition times will be
announced at the end of October.
The audition consists of 4 scales - F, Bb, Eb, Ab, and chromatic.
(Students who signed up for Allstate will also play the first of the two allstate solos.)
Dress for the auditions - casual, but nice. Nice = no flip flops, jeans, t-shirts with writing, or hats.
The audition should take about 10 minutes, then you are free to leave. (However, the check in/warmup time may be 15-30 minutes.)
If a student scores high enough, they will be selected for the District Honor Band. District Honor Band is held Feb. 21-23, 2008. This involves Thursday night, 8-5 on Friday, and Saturday morning rehearsal/concert Saturday afternoon, concluding around 3:30.
If a student signed up for District *and* Allstate, they have a couple of possibilities: 1. make (or not) district honor band and/or 2. make (or not) the cut to try the 2nd allstate audition.
The 2nd audition is held near Atlanta on Saturday, Jan. 19th. (Perry Middle School)
